SIERPE SPHERES & MANGROVES

This tour is a combination of three destinations on the Osa Peninsula, exploring one of the most important ecosystems in the world and learning about the pre-colombian heritage of Costa Rica.

After arriving to Sierpe we take the boat down the river along the largest conservation area of mangroves in central America. We may see up to three species of monkeys, a great variety of birds, snakes, crocodiles, and more. After the mangrove tour we set up the table for a picnic lunch at the beach, then after you have time to relax and swim in the sea.

Heading back to Sierpe, we then go to the Finca 6 Museum and take a walk inside to learn about the interesting story of the mysterious round stone spheres, declared by UNESCO world Heritage. This museum showcases indigenous artifacts and tells the history of the original inhabitants of the region while allowing for an educational walk among the once banana plantation and now home of an important archeological site. In the late afternoon you will then head back to your hotel.
