golfito trek & kayak

With a stunning diversity of flora and fauna, the gorgeous Piedras Blancas National Park is a significant natural reserve and wildlife refuge located in the Puntarenas province. Lying on the Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, this national park is situated in Golfito. The Piedras Blancas National Park connects with the Corcovado National Park to form and safeguard an important and ecologically diverse biological corridor in the Golfo Dulce. This trip is a real adventure, so please be ready for a wonderful backpacking journey that has the amazing opportunity to visit the Golfo Dulce on kayaks as well.

On this 3-day journey, we’ll trek through the Piedras Blancas National Park reserve, spending the first night camping at El Bonito Ranger Station. We'll then continue hiking on day 2 through the national park to Playa San Josecito, passing through tropical jungle before setting up camp on a pristine beach. We’ll end our journey on day 3 by kayaking back along the otherside of Piedras Blancas to Golfito where you will have the option to swim in an ancient coral reef site on the lookout for turtles and tropical fish. To celebrate the culmination of our adventure, we’ll enjoy a delicious meal in one of the local restaurants.
